San Sebastian Airport Guide
San Sebastian in the northwest corner of Spain is just
south of the border with France, about 40 km (25 miles) from
Biarritz. It is an elegant resort, which rather changes its character
and comes alive at night when the old town (Parte Vieja), whose bars
are legendary across Spain, opens up for business. There are bars of
all sorts, one boasting the biggest selection of Scotch whiskey on
the planet. The schizophrenetic nature of the city makes San
Sebastian an ideal place for everyone to spend a few days. By day
there are the fine beaches and tourist sites, including the
interesting Museo de San Telmo and the views from Monte Igueldo, and
by night there are the excellent restaurants, including many
specialising in sea food, and for those with the stamina the bar
scene. The city is quite small and wherever you stay will be
accessible to the city centre.
West of San Sebastian There are no hotels between San Sebastian and
