The Canary Islands are a group of seven major islands and six smaller

north western coast of Africa. The island of Tenerife offers lush

coastlines and spectacular beaches.
Airport Transportation:
The Reina Sofia airport is located in the south of the island, 60km
(37.5 miles) from the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the north.
Taxis are available to Santa Cruz de Tenerife (journey time: 60
minutes). Buses leave regularly from the airport to the central bus
station in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The capital of Tenerife is the second most populated city of the
Canary Islands with more than 200,000 inhabitants. Today, Santa Cruz
de Tenerifeis a city with large landscaped areas and parks and
squares that are ideal for strolling. The most frequented place in
Santa Cruz is "La Plaza de Espana" by the sea, where the building "Cabildo
de Tenerife" stands. The Parque Nacional de las Ca–adas del Teide
includes an enormous volcanic crater 48 km in circumference, out of
which rises Mount Teide, the largest mountain in Spain. Access to the
now extinct volcano is either by foot or by cable car that will carry
you almost to the very summit.
